Debra is a Director of UK VAT Advice Ltd and holds over 30 years of experience in VAT. She worked at HMRC for 14 years before moving into a top ten City firm. Debra became a partner at Haslers in 2008 and formed UK VAT Advice Ltd in 2012. Her VAT experience is broad, with a particular specialism for the SME sector. Debra also has extensive experience as a lecturer, providing lectures, workshops and seminars for clients and professional bodies.

Paul has a ‘direct’ tax background, he started assisting Debra with VAT matters from 2007. Paul undertook specialist VAT exams in 2008 and became a member of the Association of the Institute of Indirect Taxation. Paul can provide guidance on all VAT matters, but he is particularly involved with property transactions that involve direct tax matters such as Stamp Duty Land Tax, tax relief on the purchase as well as looking at VAT.
